Overview

Common Works is a small design studio helping cultural organizations, publishers, and independent businesses shape visual systems with more care. The studio had strong work and loyal clients, but its own brand felt unfinished and hard to explain. The project gave the team a clearer position, a more useful identity, and a website that made the studio feel more established without losing its collaborative spirit.

Challenge

The challenge was to avoid making the studio feel larger or smoother than it really was. Its strength came from being sharp, involved, and close to the work, so the brand needed to reflect that without feeling casual. We refined the language, service structure, and visual system around a simple idea: thoughtful design for people building things with a clear cultural purpose.

Impact

The new identity helped Common Works present itself with more confidence across proposals, project pages, social posts, and client conversations. The site gives the studio a stronger point of view while keeping the tone direct and personal. The result is a brand that feels more complete, more recognizable, and more useful for the team as it continues to grow.
